jello.

not new to how forums work, but new to cycling.
so new that i don't own a road bike yet, just a cheap Trek MTB my wife got me as a surprise back in '04.

well, the bike sucks, no place to MTB here, and i much prefer road biking anyway. she heard i use to MTB when i lived in Germany, but i loved to road bike when i grew up outside of St. Louis.

i'm 40, married to a great wife, have a 10 yr old son.
i've been meaning to start road biking again for a couple years, just haven't had the job that would allow it until now (i was always traveling).
so, i bought road slicks for the MTB... but it sucks, i can't even change gears going up a slight incline without issues... that was a couple years ago.
i just bought a CycleOps Fluid2 trainer and have been riding that 3 or more times a week, trying to get in shape before i buy a road bike this early spring.

thx for having me.
