When you are looking at the list of threads in this forum, what is the little checkmark next to the envelope icon on some of the threads?

When you are looking at the list of threads in this forum, what is the little checkmark next to the envelope icon on some of the threads?

It means it is a thread with a new post(s) since the last time you were online, and if you click on the check mark you will go to the first new post.
