United Kingdom - coast to coast

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have just bought a road bike for charity bike ride.

Could somebody tell the best way by road.
Cheers

Have a look at www.bikeroutetoaster.com - that will help you find a route. I just ran it through but short of posting something huge here it's hard to put the route in. The route it suggested is 240km but that's based on a guess as to specific starting and ending points.

This thread is a little old, but you can use the National Cycle Network for coast to coast. For example Carlisle to Newcastle, just follow Route 10 (very well sign posted)
