Iro Build is coming together quite nicely.

The parts that are going to be on for now, will not be final. I plan on upgrading a few componenets as I have the money. What I will be building for the meantime will be my commuter. I dont need anything fancy, just something to get me from A to B...while still looking at least a little nice i guess.

Parts:

Frame: Iro Mark V 53cm Frame ($250)
Crankset/Bottombracket: SRAM Omnium Cranks w/Truvativ GXP BB 48t($164.95)
Chain: KMC Chain ($15) - may use SRAM PC-1 Chain
Freewheel/Cog: ACS Claws Freewheel 17t ($15)- will put on a 17t cog + lockring
Pedals: Wellgo Generic Pedals from BI ($30) - MIGHT upgrade to clipless if I ever want to learn to use em.
Saddle: No Contest Saddle from BI ($18)- Will Upgrade to either Bontrager in form or Selle Italia in future. I didnt have any saddle so I got one to hold me down for now.
Headset: Cane Creek 1-1/8" threadless headset ($30)
Handlebars: Stock Windsor Hour from my last bike
Brakes/Levers: Tektro Brakes + Tektro levers (will get model. I forgot what they were.)- upgrade to SRAM Apex Brakeset + SRAM singlespeed levers
Stem: Velo Orange 1-1/8" Threadless headset ($35 i believe)
Seatpost: velo Orange ($20- its not velo orange, but it was on their site).
Wheelset: .....as of now my friend who gave up biking is selling me a front wheel, alex rims laced to a formula hub in good condition for $20. Tryna decide if Ill ask him for a reference to get a rear wheel for about the same....or if I should just use whatever i saved and get a good rear wheel XD. Considering the Julian V2 machined wheel in black. I know I know.....all those threads asking for wheelset suggestinos gone to waste. But with an offering for a good condition front wheel for freaking $20......I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IN THE SUMMER LACING THOSE SRAM S27s to custom phil woods

Misc: Black Mash stickers to hide the Iro Logo lol.

Haha. Pics to come soon. Rip up my choices! go ahead!

So if I'm adding this up correctly, you're spending $700 for an IRO.

Why are you buying an ACS Claws freewheel? Are they not crap? In any case, if I were to buy a cheap single freewheel, it would be a Shimano.

Tektro to Apex is not exactly an upgrade, it would be quite the lateral move.

Get some new pads instead. Like Kool Stop Salmon.

I thought so to. Guess Im not over at the roadie forum. I still go over there once in a while if i have questions about parts that both roadies and ss/fg riders use.
