My friend wanted to do a flat land tailwhip on his bike and he couldnt get the back end around and tried on mine and I couldnt do it cause my DiamondBack is wicked heavy. So i hopped on his GT Thumper and first try i got it all the way around and stuck it. plus I had been practicing it on my bike for about and hour and a hlf but still it was pretty funny to see his reaction when I did it.

My one friend who is pretty good managed to pop 2 back tubes on his bike in the same day, but he still wanted to ride anyway so he borrowed my other friends bike. Five minutes later he poped the back tube on that bike. We all thought it was pretty funny and made fun of him for being cursed. Dispite this he still wanted to ride so he looked at me funny and ask to ride my bike. I simpely said "no f***ing way". After that he took his bike to the local shop which I hate and they repaced his back wheel becuase he kinked it for 150 dollars. He's riding for 3 hours and snaps the brake cable. This is the perfect example of someone who you should not let ride your bike. I wont even let him touch mine.

Not wanting to seem a jerk (can be) congrats! it takes a bit to hop a mtb. Be nice to the Fiscer, go mtbing..it's a speeed cornering bike probably.

It's nice to have a different bike to ride, find out what makes G.F a peach.

I don't 'try' anything above 10 inches really. Bmx? maybe 2 feet.

And, get a bmx with rear triangle Chromoly, not tensile, had a post w\ the BF bmx'rs and the census was the 'tensile steel' rear tri will noodle after a while if'n you keep slamming it.

I ride mtb, built jump bikes before bmx and think Fishers are sweeet. HQ.

Always wear a helmet.


Edit: gave it a go this morning..um i over estimated. Around 9 on the mtb, the bmx was 16 inches average good ones.

If you don't have a seat you can tuck the frame up high.

Gary Fisher doesn't make BMX bikes any more (aside from a few kid's models, which probably have suspension and 10-speeds on a 20" frame and fork setup, anyway), mainly because they weren't, well, good.

Despite the fact that we felt we were building a very competitive BMX line of bikes for many years, we made the choice to stop producing the bikes. This choice was mostly market driven. Pricing changes in the market made it harder for us to produce the performance level that Gary Fisher riders require at a competitive price.

That doesn't really say much to me, considering that their bikes cost about the same as the average Diamondback at the time.
