I'm only about an hour away from Gloucester, MA so I think I'm going to try cx since the big Gran Prix race series will be there.

I'll be racing on my mt bike, but I'm not sure on tires. I have some 1.95 IRC Serac XC tires that aren't too wide or knobby, and I have some Geax semi-slicks that are like 1.6, but not even tiny knobs.

Which would you use?

if theres any dirt or loose stuff use the knobbies. just grass and pavement you might get away with the slicks.

hutchinson makes a 1.3 if you want to buy new tires
