Has there ever been a more collective city of fair weather fans than Atlanta?

At least you have the Braves.

And it's easy to get tickets because people don't show up for the games.

That's too bad, it's a nice Ball Park. Back in the early 2000s I went to a game there. Ten rows behind home plate.

I was thinking the same thing Saturday night when I saw a shot of the half-empty stadium with over 8 minutes to go in the game.

Heck people were leaving mid way through the 3rd.

You gotta understand folks in ATL... short attention spans, so if the team is losing, they're leaving. "Hey, I still got a 6-pack in the truck...."

I lived there for three years, saw the Braves turn it around. There was all sorts of headshaking and hand-wringing over the release of Dale Murphy, their beloved son. But when the team started winning, then any trade or managerial action that benched a loyal and good player was justified. Ron Gant was an integral part of that early success (back-to-back 30/30 seasons), and caught the first septic truck outta town after breaking a leg in the OFF-season.

It's pretty much normal for pro sports fans these days; how many Laker fans hate Shaq now?
