Mountain Biking - raleigh id

Hi guys, i've searched and searched but I can't seem to find any info on raleigh mountain bikes other than the m series. Unfortunately the picture is blurry so I can't make out what model this is and the seller isn't very helpful. Any input as to what this bike is and any info regarding it would be a great help.

I contacted the seller and asked what year, model size, etc and he replied:
It's a raleigh adult size.

so...any insight would be appreciated.

Lugged steel frame makes it likely pre-1992 (I think that was the year they started welding up aluminum in quantity). 18-speed means a 6-speed freewheel on the rear, again, that time period. Cantilever brakes, BINGO!

If it rolls and isn't either rusted through or severely dented up, $25 is reasonable. Just don't expect to take it to Sea Otter.

Don't know the model but looks mid 80's with the lugged steel frame with thumb shifters. They may or may not be indexed. Looks to be in ready to ride condition, may need some bearings serviced if it's been sitting. I'd say it's easily worth $25 depending on what you want it for and if it's the right size. The older lugged frame rigid fork mountains bikes make great commuter rides and will work fine for light trail riding. They usually have all of the eyelets needed to easily add fenders and racks for commuting and can also be converted for touring duty.

If you do find out the model name post it up in the thread. I searched all of the available online Raleigh brochures and couldn't find a match. The single seat stay doesn't match any Raleigh MTB frame I could find a picture of onine.

I have a 90 Raleigh Chill that has the wishbone seat stay. It's a technium frame with aluminum main tubes bonded to chromo chain and seat stays and head tube. That bike looks to be a few years older. Mid to late 80's. Don't recognize the model.

Ok, I found out what it is.
Raleigh Monger. Still can't really find anything out about them though.
