Here is pictures of my 4 year old Benjamin on my Peugeot. He has some growing to do, but it's never to early to introduce them to cycling. The bike is set up on a trainer in my kitchen (by the way, the dishes are clean in the sink). The gaspipe design and heavier wheels make it an excellent bike for training.

If you like, share pictures of children on CV bicycles.

Here is pictures of a vintage bike that I partially restored (I intend to clean good it in the Spring). When I received it in the Fall, Benjamin was immediately drawn to it. I had no intention of restoring it, but Benjamin like it so much, I had no choice. He presently owns two bikes, one big wheel, and a scooter. He's already begun collecting!

I actually ride my trainer while my 3 year old sits on my shoulders. Then I sit up straight and go into the drops. It's a great workout.

He has gone for ride with me too--only he has ridden on the handlebars.

bikemanbob: Cute!!

Our then 10 yr old son somewhere in Wyoming on a 45 day self supported fall tour down the Rockies.

Take note of the vintage set-up: Shogun with DT friction, leather saddle and 650A wheels.

Wow, what an inspiration. If I could be doing this in four years with my 6-yo I'd be in heaven.

Did you convert the Shogun to 650A? What size frame is it?

Southpawboston: Thanks! Yes I converted three vintage steel frames to 650A for the tour. Sun rims, Suzue hubs, Schwalbe Marathon tires. Shogun is 48cm. In four years Bjorn has surely outgrown it - I'll send it your way for the next bike tour.

Hmm. Maybe with albatross bars and a child stoker kit mounted on the seat tube, but dismounting's still going to be tough.

My daughter at about 12 years of age, cruising comfortably at speed on a pretty blue Battaglin.

He is my little guy about 7 months ago when he was 6 months old helping me with my Tommasini. I hope he loves riding when he gets older so we can ride together.
