Foo - How does stuff like this get through?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A bit of a rhetorical question...but yesterday we received in the mail a rather stout healthcare calendar from our insurance provider. It has month by month information on preventative steps for health and wellness...despite the words in large letters above our address which read:
Health and wellness prevention information
We sent out Christmas gifts to some of our clients and suppliers back in December. We sent a can of peanuts to a company that sells peanuts, albeit a different brand. Marketing people are generally clueless.

Promotion and Prevention both start with 'pr'. Easily confused.

Back when I was in college, I worked for the college newspaper as a proofreader for the advertisements. This was at a time when handheld calculators were just getting popular and improving very rapidly. One bookstore had a big sale to clear out the older stuff, and so they took out a full page ad in the paper. In big fat letters it was to say LIMITED QUANTITY ONLY. I let it get out saying LIMITED QUALITY ONLY.
I got fired. I still wonder if I was set up by the guys doing the pasteup.

I work part time in my LBS, and found this on a box that a Dahon folding bicycle was shipped to us in.

"Before your fist ride" changes the whole context of that warning!
put a seat on your dahon.
