Well I have been working for this Jimmy Johns sandwich shop in west lafayette indiana. All of us deliver on bikes. We usually ride anywhere from 30-?? miles depending on how busy we are. Well lately i have been getting weaker and weaker it seems on my bike. When i first got my surly steamroller it had a slightly different gearing than my other fixed gear. So riding it at first was cake. There are a few hills here (steep ones) So i decided to keep the bigger rear cog. Well now i dont know if im just getting used to the bike or if Im just getting fatigued.

I usually ride in about 7 hour shifts. Riding almost the whole time. Today was an exception where i worked 14 hours straight because there was a home football game. I go to college at Purdue University so we get alot of bar customers all night... Its a pretty cool job... get to deliver to drunk people all night ... get free beer ... get a bong passed to you every once in a while... plus the tips are pretty good.

but anyways... any ideas? I kind of just think im not getting enough recovery time in between rides... i work 5 days a week... with mon and wed off...

Probably as you suspect, overtraining. But this question might be better answered in the Training & Nutrition forum.

Don't know if this is directly related, but I had a computer on my bike for a while and then took it off for a period. After a while of having it off, I started to feel fatigued more often for a while. I put the computer back on for a while, and realized I had increased my cruising speed by about 2-3 mph during that interval. Got used to it again after a while, but with a faster cruising speed I really notice the hills more, where when I was going slower I didn't end up lowering my speed as much to crest them.
Hope that makes sense, I'm really tired.
