Classic & Vintage - Bridgestone bicycles Q

Can someone tell me about this frame? I'm looking at it to swap over 9speed components from another bike thats too small. Will the rear have 126mm spacing? Is it a good frame, light??

ANY info about these frames would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately I can't give any specifics, but I'm sure it's a good Frame. It's a Bridgestone. As for weight, it's not an RB1 or anything, so as far as I know it's probably mid-level, and therefore mid-weight. Nothing terribly heavy and clunky, though. I would guess 126mm. It looks good.

i agree it is probably a mid level frame with 126mm spacing.

neither of those things is an issue though. it is a beautiful frame that will look and ride great with 9spd.

i am a campy guy, but i can almost picture ultegra 9spd on it.

Just wanted to chime in again. If you've never ridden a Bridgestone, you've got to at least build it up. Mine was my first bike, so I didn't realize what I was doing when I sold it or I would still have it. They're just so damn comfy to ride. It wasn't as aggressive as a lot of other road bikes, but I could spend all day riding mine and I don't even ride as much as most hard core "cyclists." Probably a couple 30mi rides/week in the summer. But I feel like had I wanted to I could have probably done a century on that bike, and still been perfectly comfortable at the end other than maybe my ass(which is of course not the bike's fault). I'll buy another one if I see one for a good price.

Any ideas about what year model it may be? Model name? I cant make it out... Ideas about what type of tubing was used on these bikes?

Disregard this thread, I pretty much got all the info i need, looks to be middle of the road early 80's, Spica is the name on the tube, not quite sure about the tubing but nothing super light.

Still, its close to where i live and i think the size would be pretty comfy for me, if i could get it cheap enough...
