Most people would pay that much for the vintage saddle on the Pinarelo alone (or at least i would, 30 euros that is).

I'm not surprised at all, being France. I mentioned in an earlier thread that the French won't even look at old bikes, much less ride them. They consider them next to worthless, and only those who know that there's a market for them outside of France bother to list them internationally on eBay. The rest treat them as yard sale appliances and are happy to get a few euros for them.

Tragic! Do you know how the rest of Europe tends to feel about their old bikes?
I'm worried about my habits. I used to start perusing my local CL for bikes. Then, started looking at CL prices up to 4 hours away. Now I'm toying with the idea of looking for bikes that are a $1500, 14 hour flight away from me.
You are all the most terrible enablers

A half-container from Liverpool to Houston is only $850. Probably fit 100 bikes if carefully packed. You could easily pay for your trip with the profits. Just sayin'...
*- If you do it, for the idea, I'd like first crack at a 24" PX-10...

I'd jump at a 63-64cm randonneur or a 62-63 cm 70's/80's road racing machine. :thumb:
