General Cycling Discussion - Space bike

Swekarl wanted to see a pic of a 1960's vintage space-age bicycle that was popular in the USA during the space-race.

We have Kennedy, the Russians, and George Jetson to thank for encouraging these designs.

Here you go, a 1963 Murray Cosmic Flyer (that's the real name). It even has a light on the front. The nose of the tank looks like Darth Vader's helmet - more than 20 years before the first Star Wars movie!

Thanks, but actually those aren't my hands. Those are special model hands just for showing off the bike.

When I was little my first real bike was a bright blue one that looked kinda like that. Man it was sweet. :D
