Im almost 100% sure nobody on this forum owns that bike. Im 80% sure nobody on this forum owns a Globe. (there are reasons for both of those)

I actually really like the direction that the Globe brand is going, really nice quality in quasi classic style. Personally I'd rather build my own bike, like many people on SSFG, but there's nothing wrong with Globe.

She should post some pics of the bike on here!

Yes they do look pretty. But felt is doing the same things with its Brougham and Curbside and Gridloc models. Specialized has just taken a second to make some less performance oriented and more life oriented bikes with the Globe series. From what ive heard, they do just fine on the streets and are really reliable rides. I just dont suspect many on this forum are into that kind of bike. But with drops, and the front rack moved to the rear, that bike would be a commuting machine.

Globes are pretty nice and bold, especially the ones in black in my opinion; there's this girl who lives near me who has the mixte SS one with the multi speed hub and locks the poor thing outside with a NY u lock; but whenever she rides it on campus you can't miss it.

I think that bike is perfectly fine for someone who just wants to cruise around and looks great. It's rad that you got your gf a bike. Significant other rides are awesome. :thumb:

What is the reason? Not janky enough?, too light, quality too high?, too nicely finished?

For many commutes, drops and a rear rack aren't necessarily an improvement over flat bars and a front rack.

The reason nobody owns that bike: Most people on this forum arent into that style of commuting bike.

Reason nobody on the forum owns a globe: They make commuting bikes that are typically not the best value out there price wise. Like I said before, most people on here want a track bike that they commute with. They want it to go fast and do rad skidz. Thats all.
