General Cycling Discussion - Bike shops in DFW?

I'll be in Dallas on business soon and was wondering if there are any must-visit bike shops I should visit while there. For that matter, any must-visit anythings?

I'd say there's not any "must visit" bike shops unless you're looking for something. RBM is the biggest but may or may not have any specific item you're after, and seems to generate rather mixed results on service, etc. I've noticed in the past that they have a bunch of bikes in stock, but they tend to have 50 of this and 40 of that as opposed to 90 different bikes, so you don't necessarily see anything you won't find elsewhere. The store in Richardson, off Campbell and Coit, is the big one. I haven't been to the Frisco store.

Probably the single most unique Dallas site is the Sixth Floor Museum. DFW has art museums and amusement parks and zoos and all that kind of stuff just like every other big city, but that's the item that other cities don't have. It takes a couple of hours to go through, and is reasonably close to some DART stations & West End. Bonnie and Clyde are both buried in the area if you care to go grave-hunting. The Dallas World Aquarium downtown is pretty nice but sort of pricey.

I remember reading years ago that the single item most responsible for bringing people to the DFW area was Shopping. Whoopee.

Don't forget to spend some time in Fort Worth. The Stockyards and Sundance sqare are always fun. The most fun shop in town is the newest: Trinity Bicycles (http://trinitybicycles.com/home/), on Main street, just south of downtown.
