Does anybody ride through the Cleveland Metroparks? Where are some of the best spots to ride? Scenery, nice path, attractions... My parents (50 & 62) and 2 of their friends are coming in to visit this spring. I know of a few good spots to take them riding but nothing too spectacular. The small waterfall in Berea is nice, the woods next to the river behind Tyler Field is a good spot, I'm sure someone has a good ride around the parks they like the most.

Which side of town do you want to be on? I would also suggest the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath -- nice things to see and generally flat. The only problem with the Towpath is it is busy on the weekends when the weather is nice.

There is also the Summit County trail that connects to the Metroparks trail at Alexander Road. That trail will take you past Brandywine Falls, which are very pretty, but the general level of 'scenic-ness' is less than some other options.

The Towpath is awesome---you can start of of Rockside Road t the trail head there...within minutes you will not believe that you are still in Cuyahoga County! I live just outside of Berea, and I regularly cycle from Wallace Lake..The waterfall there is great and the scenic overlook just off of Nobottom Road is also very beautiful. I also like the area around the Interpretative Center near Lewis Road, too.

..The waterfall there is great

That wouldn't be this one, would it? I rode past it last summer and snapped a bunch of pics. I remember this being in Berea, I think I saved it in my GPS too!

Ahh sun and beautiful weather!!!! I would suggest the Towpath as I have no experience with the Metroparks. The nice thing with the Towpath is that a train runs from Penninsula to Rockside(I believe). So if you go far enough that you dont want to ride back, you can just hop on the train.

I do remember telling them about the train and they sounded interested in checking it out. I've never been on it. I'll have to look into that and plan a train ride for their visit.

You might want to post your question in the regional forum. Assuming yuo have not already done so.
