Mountain Biking - You can find anything on Ebay!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
These are the exact shifters I have on my 1989 Rocky Mountain Stratos.

They are still in the package!!!
I was so tempted to buy them but my original shifters are still working perfectly, even after 20+ years of neglect (I think I changed the cables once, I THINK) and running them on my winter beater the last 10 years or so.
The only reason I was thinking of getting them is one of mine is missing the silver top cover. These are the perfect "no bling" last forever shifters.

You don't sound like you really have a need for them. Unless you have $160 you want to throw away, save your money.
Yes you can find most anything - - and some things that you probably shouldn't want . For instance, my friend Tim has this for sale out there right now (Precision Billet rear derailleur):

He also has some sets of Machine Tech vee brakes (Machine Tech was based right here in Spokane). Works of art; can't vouch for if they actually worked:

I know, there was a new Rasta version of this a while ago (notice the used price),
