Does anyone else here on the board own a Raleigh Talus 3.0? How has it been? Any specific tips? I am also looking for a front fender for the bike - suggestions? :)

The talus is a good, solid, beginner/basic use bicycle. How do you intend to ride it, what will you use it for? If it's for commuting, riding around, very light off road trail type riding, then it is a good bike.

as for fenders...

I have one, but got it this winter, and have only been out for two short rides. So far, so good!
It seemed to be the best "bang for the buck" at my LBS for under $400.
I spent last fall riding a low end department store MTB from the early '90s. I thoroughly enjoyed the trail rides on that, so I'm pretty confident this will work well for me.

I took it out for an hour today on some singletrack. There was still some snow and ice on the trails but they were rideable.
The bike performed well. The shifting is nice and snappy. The seat feels fine. The handling was good as I picked my way around the icy spots.
I'm looking forward to when things dry up and warm up!
