better implementation of ignore feature

can the ignore be better implemented?

as it currently works, i can see all of the threads started by ignored users, and all of their posts are overwritten by an intrusive red "this user is on your ignore list.. click here to view message blah blah blah"

its quite contradictory because instead of that person being ignored, the reader is constantly being reminded of that persons post/presence

itll help sift the junk from the forum, no?

I kinda like the "This person is on your ignore list" message. I've put it to good use in certain instances.
