I bought a new Garmin Edge 500 and then ordered a GSC10 speed, cadence. While installed the GSC10 the stopped lighting up for the speed/ spoke magnet. The cadence still flashed when it was passed. I hit the reset like the instructions said but it didn't help with the speed. When i gave up and paired the edge it was showing the cadence and speed. Is this some thing I should worry about that the light never flashed when it passes but once before i put it on the bike.

The GSC10 you received may have a battery that is almost dead. Seems to be a fairly common occurrence. I am guessing a new battery may fix the problem.

you likely dont have the speed magnet passing close enough to the pickup...

Thanks guys it was a dead battery. I replaced it and every thing is lighting up after a hit of the reset button.
