Does awesome mean "like nearly every other strap based foot retention that the market has exploded with recently?"
Because yes, then they look 'awesome'.

Hah, they look like a cheaply made version of the Bikeage straps (http://bikeage.bigcartel.com/product/catalina-v1-5-platform-pedal-straps)

If you've ever dealt with nylon straps, you can tell the difference between what is going to work better in wet, dry, caked on dirt, whatnot. See how the Bikeage ones are made with very fine woven threads, almost creating a smooth surface that repeals dirt and water. The origin8 straps are very thick threads that are going to be stiff when left in the sun, collect dirt like a mofo, and really get warped and soggy easily in the rain.
not only that, but if you are concerned with the wear on your shoes, the smaller diameter threads and subsequent 'finer' material used on the bikeage straps will be much kinder to the leather/textile upper on your favorite riding shoes
the rough material used on the origin8 straps will act like sandpaper, removing the protective layer on leather shoes and generally accelerating their wear
