By the time the warm weather gets here I'll have a new touring bike and panniers. I'd love to find a few good farmer's markets to ride to and stuff those bags full. I've given up a lot of garbage food over the past year, bought a Vitamix and a Breville(blender/juicer), the whole 9... I would pillage a market near me if I could find one within 20 or 30 miles round trip of Olmsted Falls. Know of any?
How about the West Side Market? It's one of biggest in United States. I'm from N. Royalton and they have a small one on Ridge & Bunker by the Deli sometimes. There's also one at Memorial Park by the Library once a week. Can't remember what day though. No other farm markets I can think of. Good luck.

The west side market is great and within your mileage. I used to live in Olmsted Twp on Cook...small world.

believe it or not I've never been to the West Side Market (probably the only person in NE Ohio), I have to check that out. Great link too, there's a ton of markets on there. Thanks

My kid goes to St Ignatius and those guys live at the market. There's a couple of places to eat inside also. You could always pick up a goat head from one of middle eastern vendors. Just strap that on your bike and ride it home.
mmmm....West Side Market. Oh the canoli.
I don't know the geography of the area very well, but there's always tons of cyclist by Szalay's Farm when we make our annual pilgrimage. Might be a fun ride.

I'm still ticked over the demise of Central Market to make way for that silly Gateway project.

Besides Szalay's, there's also the Countryside Farmers Market at Howe Meadow (off Riverview north of Everett). He could take the Valley Parkway to Riverview or the towpath to get there, probably 20 miles or so each way.

Chipcom. thanks for the link to the Cleveland.com directory is very convenient. It lists the all the ones in the various Cleveland neighborhoods. If I remember correctly they are also growing produce near or at some of those locations. In a few years there should be wine available from the vineyard that was planted near the Cleveland C

I need to check back on my posts here more often, that HAS to be my new signature cs1 !! I have family coming in from Pittsburgh in a few weeks, we'll check out the Market and if it's what everyone tells me it is I'm sure I'll be biking groceries home from there all summer long.
