It's a nailbiter, but I fear they're doomed. However, at least they went out with some excitement and suspense.

I'm not from Boston but I've been a sox fan for years. They're my adopted AL team. However, I also like the Yankees. But the sox rule.
I wish I could be big and mean and tough like Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. Of course, that would alienate most of the men I know.

The Sox won again tonite, too. Go Sox! The Astros played a dynamite game Monday nite. Maybe it will get down to the Sox and the Astros. I will then have to root for the Astros, of course!

Sox win again. It was another nail biter but they pulled it out, forcing a game 7.
I'm a Cleveland fan, so I think I know how you Sox fans feel. We've been so close so often, but always fall short.

Thanks for that, Casey. My father-in-law is 85 and has lived in Boston his entire life (excluding WWII) and has been a hard core Red Sox fan. Can you imagine that they have never won in his entire lifetime? Man...

As I was watching last night I was sure a Sox collapse was eminent. (sorry Sox fans… but I had history on my side.) But what do I know… I was screaming at the TV when Damon came up in the 2nd with bases loaded… “Pinch hit, Pinch hit!”
Go get those Astrdinals!?!

You almost have to try to choke as bad as the yankees did. There is no excuse for that. It's really amazing that there were no riots at U-Mass last night. We had overturned cars last year.

As for the yankees, maybe they just fried themselves in the first three games. Maybe it was because of the rain-out last week- maybe it benefitted the sox in some way. We had the same rotten weather here, it seems the whole eastern seaboard was drenched. If they'd been in NYC it was raining too. But whatever it was, the yankees dropped the ball so to speak; hey, it had to happen eventually.
But I still wish Garciaparra was with the sox.
