certainly quirky, too small for me

but what do you buffs all reckon?
I like the derailleur, not sure about the mudguards...

Maybe Velouria could make something of it

Ah, the old derailleur + coaster brake trick!

I really like the bike. I would certainly pick it up for a small fraction of the asking price. $850, even if they're NZ dollars, is more than I'd pay. Nice bike, though.

The derailleur + coaster brake setup is a rare bird indeed. Its not the complete "System Sachs" from what I can see...the full system had some safety features to prevent the chain from jumping off during braking. Not saying those parts are missing...perhaps they were never there to begin with.

Hyper (ee-pair) cool, as the Parisien teens say. I dig it (including the fenders). I also dig how you Aussies and Kiwis still use "reckon". Whenever I say it I feel like most people are thinking "What a rube. . ."

Ahh, I see it is a derivative of Reuben, as in Seth and Reuben from Cold Comfort Farm. See, now I am showing my own sophistication!
But I am chewing on my piece of straw like a local yokel...
