As soon as the Cambodian children we keep in a shed out back stop complaining about being hungry and get back to making them.

Velocity stuff is ready to roll and we're feeling saucy so we're having a spontaneous little sale:

Somewhere down the line, yeah. We may start offering wheel building this winter when things are slow here too.

Cool. Missouri is similar to Massachusetts because you can't do much when it's 5 degrees and snowing harder than a ******.

I need a new cog... The new wheelset I got had a 14t Dura Ace Cog+lockring, I'm currently rolling an all-city 17t, Kind of want to sell the 14t for a 16t or 15t

Oh, fun! I would totally buy some tires from you guyz.

09-06-11, 07:32 AM
Somewhere down the road, we'll have tires. Velocity stuff is taking up so much room at the moment, I can't even begin to think of where we'd fit anything else.
A23 vs Aeroheads, can you break it down for me Scrod? Seems like A23 is almost identical except it's wider and 1gram more heavy lol.
Scrodzilla
09-06-11, 11:49 AM
The A23 is based on Velocity's proven Aerohead race rim. Having a wider 23mm footprint, the A23 easily accommodates wider tires and also allows for a more aerodynamic rim/tire combination.
When paired with a 23c tire, the wider rim creates a consistent tire profile rather than pinching the beads into the rim. The overall ride quality is improved and the result is tubular-like ride quality from a standard clincher tire.
Just as H+Son says about their TB-14 rim:
The wider rim adds stiffness and gives a profile that resembles a tubular tire. The advantage of this rim/tire profile can be felt immediately when taking corners as the tire is no longer shaped like a light bulb, flopping over with high loads.
:)
new stickers are nice. hate the signature required thing from my mailman. If I don't walk outside and find him he just leaves a 'get it yourself at the post office' note. effing 45 minutes just to pick up my ****, gee I wonder why they're dying. we need t get retro-g in on some ups or fed ex lovin'!
Sweet! I want to attempt a wheel build soooo bad lol.

Did we accidentally put signature confirmation on your last package? I usually never do that because I can't stand those 'delivery attempt' notices either.
FedEx really isn't any better. We'd been waiting on a shipment of KinLins for over a week now and instead of delivering the actual package, the ****ing driver would leave notes saying he couldn't make the delivery because no one was here (even though we're here every single day when he comes through the neighborhood and was just too lazy to ring our buzzer). This happened three times until finally today, I ran down to meet him at the door and he presents a box that looks like it fell off several bridges full of damaged rims and I refused the shipment. Thanks FedEx!
yeah I just needed to vent about USPS because they suck donkey balls if you don't own your own house. fed ex has ****ed me over before too in a similar fashion, I was sitting by the door nearly all day on my laptop to catch the dude then when I checked and saw the 'we missed you' notice I nearly went postal on them. a wheelset that came from fed ex was also in a box that was beat to **** and lightly scratched.

"New" Omniums are the same as "old" Omniums except the new chainring is black. The ones up on the site have a grey chainring (we found them hiding in our warehouse space!) but the black cahinring model is on the way.

So far there hasn't really been enough interest to meet the minimum order quantity. If we can get an actual list going, we can take deposits and get a group buy happening.

I'll make a separate thread in here in the marketplace about this where we can keep a running list without distractions and see if we can actually get this rolling.

Hard to tell. It has black cups but other than that, it looks the same.
gonna need you to drop $200 and test drive them for me
Hey Dave, if you could, how much would it be if you special ordered me a Novatec front road hub in 28h?
Scrodzilla
09-08-11, 07:19 PM
Because they're not something we usually stock, if I order one hub from Novatec it's going to take forever to get here so I'm going to bounce you over to our friends at BDop:
http://www.bdopcycling.com/Hubs-Road.asp
Even with shipping from Taiwan (which only takes about a week), it will end up costing you around the same.
