 Very sound business practices going on here.
I might have to buy one, any idea on what price(range?) you'll be selling them for?

I bet those are a heckuva lot better than the take-off POS I have on my Kilo now... Oh well... maybe next time.

Velosolo chainrings are CNC'd in the UK in small batches and are really nice. We'll be stocking both 130 & 144bcd.
Not sure on price just yet but they'll be somewhere between $1 and $1000.

That estimate is so concise; I hope it's more toward the $1 end
How are the quality of these scrod? More specifically toward sugino? Pictures look promising but like they say, pictures are one thing compared to handling the real deal.

They do look really good and after speaking with Max @ Velosolo today, I'm impressed. I'll be putting one on my 722 as soon as they arrive and will report back with a review ASAP.
Black chainrings will most likely be around $50, polished will be a few bucks more.

What would be the difference between these and the sugino ones?

Scrod,
You don't happen to have a 21.1mm quill stem laying around some parts bins do you?

That's the weird Schwinn size, right? I think I may have a couple.

Yeah, I tried to look around to buy a new one but they're a pain in the ass to find. My Schwinn's extension right now is like 120mm, I'm looking for something shorter (whatever you have really). Thanks for checking!

I'll be talking to Velocity today and will try to find out.
Thanks a lot dude. I'm so impatient to ride this Kagero. I'm almost thinking about asking if you can just build it for me so I can get it riding out the box. But I forgot I'd be sitting on the top tube and pedaling with me feet. :/

Pretty sure they'll be here by early next week.
I want a retrogression frame as my main commuter. Who buys another frame when they haven't even finished building the first one? Being able to fit a 32mm tire sounds so appealing right now. :C (smiley stolen from jaytron lol)

You guys may be in luck. We've got a couple of demo and blemished frames hanging around (nothing major, just small paint blemishes and stuff) that we'll most likely on the site at a pretty good discount soon.

i was sooo close to pulling the trigger on a polished velosolo ring this past weekend. didn't care much for the thought of getting it shipped from uk so held off. but my trigger finger is getting itchy & i am having a hard time resisting.
please...get them in before i cave & you can consider at least 1 already sold

point of information...i am looking for bigger (48-50t), 3/32"...hope you decide to stock something like that
Scrodzilla
11-09-11, 06:33 AM
Velosolo currently doesn't make anything bigger than 48t and the first batch we're getting are 1/8".
3/32" will happen sometime soon.

Where are the stickers for Epic and me?
Scrodzilla
11-09-11, 05:10 PM
I threw a bunch in the box with Epic's fork before it went out today but haven't had a chance to get them back up on the site.
Let's do this - buy any other sticker and we'll throw in a bunch of BFSSFG stickers for free. This goes for anyone here who wants them. :D

Ok. No worries... I wasn't trying to be "pushy" and I hope I didn't come across that way.
I'll likely be buying some Oury's for a grocery getter that I"m putting together. Do you happen to have a set in black?
Scrodzilla
11-09-11, 05:23 PM
Yes sir. Black Ourys are usually always in stock.

In other recent news, we've been talking to the fine folks at Traitor (http://www.traitorcycles.com/Bikes.cfm) about carrying their amazing framesets (and eventually maybe complete bikes) and I'm very curious to hear your thoughts.

Ok. I'll put the order in tonight or tomorrow and I'll let you know in the order comments to send be a set of black ones. (I'll just order a clear set and you can swap it out when you ship it). I'll remind you here as well.

I have ridden my traitor over 4000 miles since may and it is incredible. The Ruben that is. I can't speak for their ss franesets but I love mine and the guys that run that place are awesome!

That's good to hear. I'm really surprised more people aren't riding them. The Ringleader (http://www.traitorcycles.com/Bikes_Ringleader.cfm) is absolutely beautiful.

Wow, you are just getting all sorts of frames. I have a desire to try out a Leader 722, but I keep seeing Traitors around town and they continue to catch my eye. I am in love with my Ruben, so I say go for it!

The Cutlass looks awesome IMO.

Hell yeah, that green color is awesome. Also, $399 MSRP for the frameset is less than a Leader 722TS and S803 steel fork.
