DAMN! Why'd you have to put up the "'V.track' pedal straps (prototype)"?

I don't need them at all right now, but I will need them later. It's hard to say no to that price.

edit: Dammit Scrod, you might as well throw those in with my order. Just keeps piling up. Let me know if I should just add them to the cart and pay or what.

V.track pedal straps (prototype), FTW! will these fit on the kilo tt stock pedals? Sorry if this is a silly question or has been asked already.

Scrodzilla
11-14-11, 05:09 PM
I really don't think you'll be able to make them work with the stock pedals. Time for a pedal upgrade!

You are now that best bicycle shop I know of. :D

Will you be getting zero setback also?

Thanks dude! Look in the 'saddles/seatposts' category.

Is there any way I can edit my order? Might as well upgrade my pedals as well..

Edit: Nevermind, I think my order was shipped already.

Hey Scrod, I know you told me deda seatposts should be sometime this week. Are the Deda compact bars coming in w/ the seatposts? Went to order both last week, outta the seatpost. Now outta the bars :(

Scrodzilla
11-15-11, 06:04 AM
We put two separate orders in so they'll most likely be a few days apart. I'll try checking with our Deda distributor today.

how sturdy do they feel? I just put some bars on my friends bike yesterday and i felt like I would bend them if they were for me. I like how sturdy the peppers feel /notaweightweenie

Scrodzilla
11-16-11, 12:20 PM
They're amazingly stiff. When I first put them on my bike, I bounced up and down on them with all my weight and it felt like my stem/steerer would shatter before the bars even flexed. I hate bars that feel like wet noodles too.

In other news, these (http://www.retro-gression.com/product/velosolo-track-chainring) just got here yesterday and we're thoroughly impressed.

Dammn! VeloSolo is sick!

Will the winter jackets get here soon? It's going to start pouring very soon.. lol

Now I know where to go for my next chainring. 130 or 144, black or silver, reversible and 46-48? AND they look good too. Could these possibly contain any more win?

Scrodzilla
11-16-11, 02:57 PM
Seriously. I put one on my 722 today and rode about 20 miles. These rings are very round, straight, and have a nicer finish than the Sugino 75 ring on my Kagero.

calv
11-16-11, 03:12 PM
Nicer than the 75 ring? Damn.. Maybe I should get this ring for the Kagero instead of using the stock Omnium chainring/FSA Pro track.

Don't know how it'd look though.

Are you going to be carrying more velosolo stuff soon? Maybe some riveted saddles?

Scrod

Wait, via email I thought you were working on a new run of V straps but there was a problem with the webbing. Are you going to have more before Thanksgiving? I'm happy to place an order and give you money today, just want an idea when to expect it.

UPDATE: I just placed an order for the Track Pedal/V Strap combo! Apparently there a few sets left!

Scrodzilla
11-17-11, 05:44 PM
We got the right webbing, finished that batch and they're gone already. Actually, scratch that. Angie literally just found 3 sets tucked away on a shelf behind a bunch of stuff as I was typing this. I'll put them up on the site right now but don't expect them to last long.

We're currently making another 50 pairs which should be done early next week.

when you restock the nitto rb021s can you get any in 25.4 380mm? i'd order them through alex cycles but i figured i'd rather support you and you're already ordering a large shipment from japan so even if you charge a premium for the size(understandable) it might wind up saving me on shipping, either way i'd rather throw my money to you than a random dude in japan

Just a suggestion if you ever make another lightweight jacket: Underarm vents! I feel that's all I'm missing with the Calv jacket, I overheat way too fast.

Scrodzilla
11-18-11, 01:24 PM
I definitely hear you. The new jackets (which will be here soon, I hope) are very well vented.

Will you only be releasing a thick winter jacket, or will there be a new softshell type jacket as well?

Another suggestion: The microfiber in the sleeves tends to just soak up sweat, maybe something to change?

Scrod, at some point, you suggested that aerospokes might show up on the site. Did that just not pan out?

Scrodzilla
11-18-11, 03:42 PM
Aerospoke ended up being pretty difficult to deal with and their communication sucks. When I send a vendor we're doing business with an e-mail, it shouldn't take a week or more to receive a response (if a response is received at all).

/Aerospoke.

Does the black 90 mm Thomson stem come in 10 degree?

It does. We'll have them back in stock next week.

calv

They'll be bought soon. Waiting for my paycheck. :P

Also, I had to borrow some parts from my housemates stock kilo to slap on mines when I sold it. I figure I should rebuild his bike first.. Just having trouble going about it.

I borrowed his stock cog/lockring, handlebars, and tires and tubes.. His stock cranks are 3/32" (vero's) so I either replace his cog/lockring with some cheapos/let him use his stock chain, or buy him a new 1/8" chain and let him keep my DA cog/Rg lockring, and I was going to buy some new cheap cork tape since I found my old bars.

I'm also looking to buy him some new tires or let him have my Conti Ultrasports (pretty much new still <50miles).. Thing is when I asked him if I could he was like " yeah i'm going to buy some new tires anyways." yet he never did and it's been a few weeks already.

What do you think is the better alternative? This guy doesn't really ride bikes that much so I'm not sure if I should let him keep the DA cog/lockring.. but he does try to "skid" a lot. (even though I told him not to when he had his stock cog/lockring.. )

I think the cheaper alternative is to just give him the Ultrasports and buy him a Z410 chain. when I can find a cheapo 16t cog, I'll just swap it.

Scrodzilla
11-18-11, 08:50 PM
Dude...I have a pile of cheapo Vuelta lockrings and stamped 3/32" and 1/8" cogs that someone gave me a while back and can probably help you round up some other stuff too.

Decepticondc5

would retrogression happen to stock 1" -> 1 1/8" stem shims? I see the nitto UI-85EX comes with one. Is that already in the box with the product?

I might order a deda zero 01 to make use of a set of risers i have

Scrodzilla
11-18-11, 09:47 PM
We just got a bunch of stem shims but I've been lazy getting them up on the site! I'll have them up sometime this weekend.

I kind of want to build an Excel frame, but I also kind of want to build a leader 721 or 725 or a 722ts :C Decisions, decisions.

(Mainly because my Kilo is too damn small)

Do the 722ts have the headbadge pictured on your site or this one:

What is the biggest tire size can the excel forks fit? I was hoping to fit a 28 panaracer tourguard on there.

EDIT: nevermind. I just saw that it was listed in the description. Up to 32.

Scrodzilla
11-19-11, 06:18 AM
Jaytron - which headbadge you get with the 722 frames is luck of the draw.

I recall reading that Leader will send you alternate head badges if you contact them. I thought my 722 was gonna come with the big chrome one, so I emailed them prior to me even receiving my frame, but they never responded. Ended up not mattering because I got the one I wanted.

So how much do you want for a 3/32" cog and vuelta lockring? If you ever get around to looking, I need some cheap cork tape and tires/tubes (and I mean cheap as in CHEAP)

Whatever you can provide, I'll buy along with my wheels within the next couple days.

MuppetMower
11-19-11, 09:15 PM
Any idea when you will be getting 1/8" 17t cogs? I need one, and I'll probably pick up some other small things that I want but don't need.
EDIT:I'm a tard and should have read the last couple of posts.
