Next week will mark the date (my birthday) that I've been using the scrod-straps for about a year now, and they are still together! I would have never imagined that they would stay together for this long with daily use in all kinds of weather, props.

We most likely won't stock the 104 bcd rings so it would be best to order it directly from them.
ok cool. Thanks anyways

It's possible, just need to angle the lever down so that it doesn't pull too weird.
How is that set-up working for you? Thinking about duplicating it. Are your grips mounted all the way on? On the picture on the site, it looks like they take up a little more of the bar.
Scrod, it seems like the shop is really taking off, congrats. Will probably make my first purchase soon.

It's working well, I definitely like it for leisurely rides - not so much when there's a lot of climbing involved though, but I think that partially that my frame is a bit too small for me. They're definitely fairly narrow bars though, I don't think I'd want them any narrower.
The grips are on all the way, it almost looks like the ones on the site on Scrod's Kagero are a little narrower; maybe he cut his down a little?

Cool, thanks. Yeah, for now I'm doing more leisurely riding on account of some recent knee surgery.

Ahh. Don't get me wrong, I've done plenty of climbing on them, they just don't have the comfort that bullhorns/drops have for standing up and "mashing". I'm sure there are a few factors contributing to that though.

Guilty as charged. :D
I like them a little narrower but I figured offering them at 46cm wide would give people the option of cutting them to their preference if need be.

You consider 46cm to be wide. Hipster ! :p

Ha! Based on the width of my shoulders, I like my bars to be between 42-44cm.

Ha, yourself! That may be true for drops or horns, but flat or riser bars need to be wider to accomodate the width of your hands. In order for your arms to be straight facing forward, risers / flats need to be one hand width wider. My small hands are about 10cm wide and I go 38 - 40cm on my drops / horns and 48-50cm on my flat bars. If I decide to keep the SE draft, I'll cut those risers down to about 50cm.

Trust me, my arms are pretty damn straight when my hands are on the grips. I tried riding with them at 46cm and it just didn't feel right when turning. At any rate, it's my bike and I'm comfortable.

We're getting close. Some delays with plumbing/carpentry work is preventing us from being fully set and have everything put away where it should be (damn contractors) but I think Angie is going in there tomorrow to clean up a bit and take some good pics. For now, I'll leave you with a few quickies:

I am so going to buy those thickslicks later. :P
I read that the 722 Heritage Edition has a different geometry than the 722ts. Any charts or opinions? I really, really like that frame in red.
Oh and by the way, ****ing spot on with the new shop man. Really ****ing awesome.

Head tube and seat tube angles are a little steeper on the Heritage Edition. We should have a geo chart up on the site soon.

Despite a few things still being a little out of place, we're up and running now but we definitely want to have some sort of official celebration. We may wait until Spring so we can fire up the grill and get a solid bunch together for a kickass group ride. I'll keep you posted!

YES. You guys stock Randos now...that is the one tire I want to get specifically for my wife in 28 and I was going to order them from somewhere else (haven't seen them in too many LBS's here).
Might have to expand that New Product section, I'm having a harder time keeping track.
whoa lots of new stuff. and holy crap at that 800g rim! I thought my sl42s were tanks

x2! I don't recall if the theme allows for 2 rows of "New Products" or if there's an option for a separate directory with them, but it'd be great to see more of the most recent products!

EERO rims are designed for trick riding and are right around the same weight as B43s.

Scrod added an rss feed a while back: http://www.retro-gression.com/products.rss. So if you're using a feed reader you can keep up that way.
It's a bit hit or miss for me at least. It pushed the Concor saddle and Cinelli bars and stem but didn't push the tires or rims. But I'm on the site 10x a day so I didn't miss a thing
