you mentioned you were going to stock Traitor frames. Any idea when? and will you be stocking the Cutlass?

Ever thought about carrying velo orange? My usual joint that dealed them moved to PDX due to a lack of hipster population here.

QBP does stock a limited selection of Velo Orange stuff but not everything. VO is also very strict about MSRP policies and we wouldn't be able to sell the stuff for any less than on the their site. We have been thinking about carrying a few things, though. What are you looking for?

Not sure if I should take this to a PM but I was thinking of a VO 1 1/8ths headset spacer bell mount in combination w/ either a soma distributed crane karen or sakura bell in either brass or copper.

Scrod,

Dude, your turn around times are awesome. You shipped my shirt on Friday and it was here today already. Just wanted to say thanks.

The bell mount is something only available through VO. I may have one hanging around though. I'll dig around for it tomorrow.

Not sure if this should be in this thread or the other one, but do you offer a seatpost that has more setback than the Deda RS01? Does the Thompson with the bend end up being more or less?

The "setback" Thomson actually has much less offset than most other standard seatposts. The RS01 has quite a bit. When compared side by side with a VO Grand Cru, the amount of setback is nearly identical.

I'll do some research though and see what we can come up with.

edit: You have a Turbo, right? It is okay to slide it back a wee bit past the "stop" marks on the rails.

I do, and thanks I'll try that, I really only want 5mm or so more if I can

I think I should have gone with a 55, because of the seat tube angle/TT length. Oh well.

How much does the RS01 in 27.2 clamp size weight? CC has the 31.8 listed as 350g.

Scrodzilla

Actually, the 31.8 weighs 326g. The 27.2 weighs 290g.

scrod's gonna go clipless again

Scrodzilla
02-29-12, 10:41 AM
It may happen. One big reason I didn't like clipless is that I couldn't find a shoe that my wide platypus flippers fit into and I'm not really the kind of person that wants to change my shoes every time I ride my bike.

The new DZR Minna looks awesome and I've been hearing good things.

Angie's been rocking DZRs for a while now and loves them.

I have had the midnights since Christmas and I love them. Once broken in they are easily wearable all day.

I wonder if it'll be cheaper to buy from you, or from a local dealer for their stuff.... lol

I really enjoy mine now that they're broken in. They're not the most comfortable shoes if you need to walk a few miles in them, but compared to a normal clipless shoe, they're like walking on pillows.

They offered me the black ones when they thought my color sold out, but I feel like a dumbass in all black sneakers for some reason

Scrod, what's your honest opinion on the knog boomers? Do they provide a decent amount of light? I've read mixed reviews and well, you know the roads I'm riding.

Scrodzilla
03-04-12, 11:20 AM
I absolutely love the rechargeable ones. They're bright enough to light up the ground a little bit in front of you and plenty bright enough to be seen by cars and whatnot without being obnoxious. For the roads around here - which are typically pretty well lit with streetlights already - I think they're prefect.

I've seen people complain about them not being waterproof but I threw one of mine into a sink full of water for a while as a test and it still works fine.

I love the rechargeable ones too. Unfortunately my front one just randomly stopped turning on. I hear Knog's CS is really good though so come Monday I'll have first hand knowledge to back up that claim!

I've got at least $450 bucks to be spent anything will help, I'd post a funny picture but I have headache and I'm in a bubble bath right now and I'm assuming you've already seen all the ones on reddit /lifeshard

Through much trial I'm getting down to the wire of ordering a bike I want. Whole or part by part. Initially my eye was drawn to the Affinity Kissena, Rush Hour Track Pro, and the Super Pista. By talking to a friend or two who own Pistas (one owns a concept) told me to look at Leaders (because I plan on stripping the bike and painting it flat black). So that's where I took off from. Was hard to argue 'basically the same bike' from Leader at 1/3 the price.

Do you think I'm making the right discussion by trying to pick up a Leader 725, and if so what do you recommend through your company that I outfit the bike with?

Last but not least size has been a huge area of concern. I sit roughly at the 53.5 cm mark from the fit calc that was linked to me in a previous thread.

Your Measurements
Gender M
Inseam 29.5 in
Trunk 26 in
Forearm 12.5 in
Arm 25 in
Thigh 23.5 in
Lower Leg 21 in
Sternal Notch 58 in
Total Body Height 70 in

Seat tube range c-c 48.5 - 49.0 49.7 - 50.2 51.4 - 51.9
Seat tube range c-t 50.0 - 50.5 51.2 - 51.7 52.9 - 53.4
Top tube length 53.3 - 53.7 53.3 - 53.7 54.5 - 54.9
Stem Length 10.7 - 11.3 9.6 - 10.2 9.8 - 10.4
BB-Saddle Position 63.9 - 65.9 63.1 - 65.1 61.4 - 63.4
Saddle-Handlebar 50.7 - 51.3 51.5 - 52.1 53.2 - 53.8
Saddle Setback 2.9 - 3.3 4.1 - 4.5 3.6 - 4.0

So if I end up grabbing a fram from you guys and it doesn't fit, too small / too big, what are my options on exchanging it for the right size?

Scrodzilla
03-04-12, 10:21 PM
First of all, the black 725s are already flat black and have removable decals so there's no need to strip and repaint.

Secondly, Leaders are long and low. Get a 53.

As I said in the other thread - if it's been built up, we most likely won't be able to take it back for a full refund.

Hey Dave. Sorry I haven't been around as much as I want too.. Lots of things happening (my mother getting stuck up at gun point for one..) but I heard that you're going to be stocking DZR shoes soon. Any definitive date on that?

Scrodzilla
03-06-12, 05:33 AM
Damn, dude...is your mom ok?

The first round of DZRs will be here soon. We're going to try keeping a decent amount of stock but if you want to let me know what shoe/size/color you're after, I'll make sure it gets ordered.
