Hello everyone...
I'm new to the forum and to the Charlotte, NC area.
I spent 15+ years in Bicycle retail (management/mechanics) in the Baltimore, MD area before I changed careers 12 years ago. I still like to tinker and build wheels in my spare time (pretty extensive shop in my garage) and hope to be able to contribute to the forum.
I still ride MTB from time to time, but see that road is pretty huge in this area... guess I'll be looking for a new road bike soon.

I'll be in Huntersville the week of 3/28 visiting family and am looking for good road routes to put in some miles during the week. Do you know of a site with good maps of rides or have any good ideas?

I know I can get to some nice roads out the back of their housing division but how those roads connect or where best to take them I do not know... I think they are at Exit 23 or Exit 25...

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I also live in the University Area in Charlotte. Pretty close to the UNCC campus. Anyways, I do a lot of road bke riding in the Harrisburg area. There are some pretty nice 20 and 30 mile loops that I do about 4 to 5 times a week. Also in the area is the Mallard Creek greenway which if you follow the greenway all the way out and back is close to 20 miles. I usually ride the greenway when it is extremly hot or just want a night ride. You can get to this area off of the Highway 49 exit.
