Last one? No, that can't be right.
<trots off to Wikipedia>
Yeah, I knew it. There are actually three documented veterans of the First World War still alive, not just one:
List of surviving veterans of World War I (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_surviving_veterans_of_World_War_I).
Though that number probably won't stay the same very long.

I didn't think a refined dandy like you would miss the title:"Nations last doughboy"
Our nation does not include the Limeys or Cannuckers also.

Either my seeing isn't so good anymore, or I'll be darned if I can see what you're referring to in the title. Looks like "Happy Birthday Frank Buckles - Last Living WWI Veteran" to me, which, not meaning to be pedantic or anything, I knew off the top of my head to not be true. There are actually three left.
For now, anyway!

My mistake...
Happy Birthday Frank Buckles - Last Living US WWI Veteran
Refering to the news headline,not the thread title from the other nut down the street from me.
People do seem to have a long life span in West-By-God.

People do seem to have a long life span in West-By-God.
Among states, WV had the 3rd oldest mean age (http://www.statemaster.com/graph/peo_med_age-people-median-age) and the 5th shortest lifespan (http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/content/sep2006/db20060913_099763.htm)
