Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - old italian racing bike???

Hi all,
i have an old bike that my grandfather gave me years ago. i think he said it was an old italian racing bike at the time. That was back in 1972. Its a direct drive one speed with wodden wheels. I will get a few pics of it asap. Just wondering how to identify what it is. Thanks alot.

Other than pics, including a drive-side shot, the headtube badge would be a great start. Does the bike have a serial number?

Pictures of components would be good too, with a list of text written on them.

From what I can see, it is not a track bike - there are definitely brakes and levers. It looks like a pre-WWII (and maybe significantly pre-WWII) road racing bike with a flip-flop hub, as was the norm in the pre-derailleur days.

Racer47, try signing up for PhotoBucket or a similar on-line phot posting service. Most of them are free. The copy the photp from there to here by copyiong the "IMG" version of the photo. In PhotoBucket, it's at the bottom of the list of possible options below each photo you upload. Just highlight it, hit Ctrl-C, move to a new post here, hit Ctrl-V, and voila! Excellent, big photos. Try it. I bet you get some good, solid info. I know I'd love to see bigger photos of this. It may trun out not to be a big deal, but my hunch ois you have something pretty darn cool there.

The chainwheel tattoo project has that chainring listed as a 1930's Bianchi design. Maybe bianchigirll will chime in if she knows ancient Bianchi history.

Some lug closeups would help if anyone does have antique bike knowledge.

It does have some #s stamped into the frame on the back side of the seat post

From what i have been able to find, it looks like it could be from around the 30s. The one difference i see is the bolt that holds the seat post in is in the front, not the back of my bike. The stamped #s are in the back. Any idea what something like this may be worth?
