Hi, I´m mking a sidecar for my bicycle.
I need comments and suggestions to improve the design.

It works pretty good, but is too heavy (not to ride, but to dismount and lift to my house)

I´m attaching a few pictures here.

Thanks!

That's really cool looking. I like the curved arm to top-tube connection.

Well, done. I like the steering wheel. That's a cute touch. What are the two holes in the front for?

As you noted, the wood construction is probably the major thing that needs to be upgraded, perhaps making the sides of aluminum. How did you mount it at the back axle?

Thanks! The two holes are supposed to resemble the front lights of a car. And also a face.

Here ara some pictures that will explain everything better (than my poor english).

I'm guessing you could get by with 3mm plywood and save some wood. If you look at the attached youtube, most of the boat you see is 3mm,4mm, and 6mm ply, and the majority of that is stuff called doorskins, a very cheap panel from the big box stores. The "sofa" on my white boat is all 6mm ply, and we have had 4 large people on it with no signs of a problem. The green boat even has the main hull in 4mm plywood.
