Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Present: “****’s Prime8 Memorial Poker Run”!
Palm Harbor, FL (June 11, 2011) – The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary presents “****’s Prime8 Memorial Poker Run” in memory of ****, a Western Silverback Lowland Gorilla. As a young infant, **** was found ill. He was going to be euthanized. Bob and Mae Noell went to save **** and took him to their veterinarian. He was diagnosed with Septic Arthritis and Tuberculosis. After extensive care, **** was able to survive and live life. **** became a celebrity after his appearance in the American Tourister Luggage magazine ad. In 2007, **** passed away at the age of 42. This Poker Run is in memory of **** in order to raise awareness and funds for a million dollar Resource Center. In addition to the Poker Run, the Sanctuary will be having a Family Fun Day for families who do not wish to participate in the run. This will include food, drinks, games, music, and more!
When: Saturday, June 11, 2001 – 8:30am to 10pm

The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and home to over 70 animals including Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Monkeys, Reptiles, Tropical Birds, and more.
