Are all of the Cromo Speed frames the same? It seems like the Speed TR would have a stronger frame, but it looks like the bike only weighs 3lbs more than the D7. So is the only difference the components?

Just had to double check. Dahon describes the TR frame as "robust" a term not mentioned on the description of the D7, and the folding dimensions are different as well. You think that a touring model would probably have a stronger frame and a geometer made for better handling while loaded. Plus, you said: basically the same .. small differences in braze ons "and such" but same tubing. Wasn't sure if that "and such" meant stronger welds, longer stays, ect. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

dont know how to say it any differently
p.s. folding dimensions are different due to carriers, different handlebar stem, etc etc small details ..nothing to do with frame.
