After a year of riding, I treated myself to a Cannondale Synapse 6 c:

Tis a full carbon bike, and after riding my Trek 7.2 FX for a year, this thing is a dream.

Thought I would gloat, errr share :)

Awesome bike!

Now that you got a hot roadie, don't forget the unofficial BF standards:

All images from the chain side....check
Handlebars lower than the seat....check
Chain on the large ring up front and small cog in the rear
Pedals at the 3/9 O'clock position

Seriously, great looking bike.

Thanks all, it is a kick ass ride and I am glad I got it. Hopefully it will fulfill the need I had and I can stop buying bike crap after I get a garmin and a brooks saddle. Oh see, lol, it never ends.

Very nice, I prefer old steel myself, but you gotta get those miles up on that one....

Do you still have the Trek, slap on some cheap plastic fenders, a rear rack and you have a grocery getter/commuter/fowl weather rig. That C'dale is like a Ford T-Bird drop top, you don't want to ride it in nasty weather and you don't want to take it some place it might get pinched, so you use the Trek for that kinda ride....

I agree, the Trek will be my daily commuter, I don't forsee the Trek to get dusty at all. The Cannondale will be used on weekends/metric century rides/ect.

At least that is how I sold the idea to my wife :)

You never achieve n+1. The value of n just changes.

That is one sweet looking ride. That baby should cut thru those coastal head winds with ease.

Most excellent choice, congrats!
I know that it's been less than a week, but as you're putting some miles on it can you tell us what you think about the Apex groupset? Anything about it catch your attention as a possible negative? I'm flip-flopping between the Synapse Carbon 5 and 6. I like the look of the 5's frame better but am wanting to try the Apex group.

I have been out three times on the bike and honestly, I hove the Apex group. I thought when I was test riding the bikes that the shifting was smoother then the 105 group on the Madone. Once I actually do a long ride, I will check back and give a review :)
