Just posted this on my facebook wall.

"Damn I love cycling. The speed, the sweat, the dried snot after the ride. Everything about it is awesome. Lesley and I had a nice ride with the Bicycles Unlimited crew today."

Who's with me?

I can't wait until spring gets here although it's supposed to be sunny and high 60's all this week in Atlanta so I plan to ride a lot.

I'm wit ya!

I started out last May using cycling as a way to help with weight loss. Now I view my weight loss as a way to help with my cycling. It's that motivation that has kept me dropping pounds (albeit slowly - but that's OK with me because it's pretty constant) for 9 months.

I enjoy cycling . I cannot imagine Georgia being too cool for cycling at any time of the year.

It snowed just the other day. I'll be the first to admit we have thin skin. :)

You're not the only one with thin skin. It finally warmed up (relative I know) this weekend and I did get a ride in today. It is amazing how much you backslide not riding a lot. We are supposed to have mid 70's all week so hopefully the cold stuff is behind us. The only time I can really ride during the week is early in the morning and I don't have any winter gear, so I need the lows to be above 50 to get my weekday rides in. Just riding on the weekends is not enough for me....

I agree, love biking. I've taken to jogging again this winter b/c to much ice for me to bike on, and no $$ for studded tires. Been riding rollers in the basement. We hit 40* today and that was awesome after the past month! Got a short ride in, and boy I do miss being outside. Watched a mnt. bike race on youtube friday, and was totall jonesin for any type of biking, so today was a sweet bonus :)

I've been running quite a bit this winter. My goal is a 5k per month for 2011. I've recently started running a 10k every weekend. I hate running but it helps for the off months.

Do you have a link to the youtube video? I love watching cycling videos.

I've had a great weekend.

Sat; 54 miles in a pace line with 16 other folks courtesy of the Baton Rouge Bike Club.

Sun; 40 miles in my home town. I met 4 local cyclists who ride regularly and have invited me to come along. The pace was set by a very strong rider who kept it fast enough to stretch all of us.

Lots of miles, fast riding, good friends, new friends and perfect weather.... Bikes Rule!

Sounds like we run about the same. I was planning a ten miler (would've been my first!) yesterday, but it was so nice out I shoveled the roof. Only had enough energy left for a six mile bike ride afterwards...and boy was that a great bike ride!

What's not to love? Exercise, fresh air, scenery, death-defying descents. Rode the Palm Springs century Saturday on the tandem with temps hitting 80F+.

Love cycling; always have, since I rode my bike across town to school in the third grade (only a mile, but it sure seemed long!) I can hardly wait to get my bike off the trainer and get started this spring.

It snowed just the other day. I'll be the first to admit we have thin skin. :)

That means it was colder in Hotlanta, Georgia, than in Soggy Seattle in the Pacific Northwet yesterday. It was in the low 60s while the sun was out, and the high 40s by the time I got home. I did 45 miles yesterday, around the southern half of Lake Washington.

We got up to 4℃ today, the problem is that there is still too much of the accumulated white stuff on the ground, and the mountain bike is still in the workshop, it's done now, just it's been too cold to futz with the lock in the shed to put it back in there. Below freezing tomorrow and then, we could see as high as 11℃(46℉) by Friday, and then go below freezing again. Typically though, the first time it's more then 10℃ it signals the beginning of the unstable season, when it's below freezing for a few days, then above freezing for a few days the below freezing again for a few days, with the length of the colder periods getting shorter and the length of the warmer periods getting longer, usually starts in early to mid March in Toronto, and a few weeks later up here though. Maybe the rodent was right and that we will have an early spring :D

Cycling has definitely been one of my passions. It even dictated what kind of dog we got!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature was a big tease this year. January was warmest on record and the snow and ice was nearly gone. We were hit with a blizzard last week with a bit more than 2 feet of snow and this morning was -13 F. *sigh*

It's worth it for the summers though. 18+ hours of daylight and rarely warmer than 85 F. LOVE IT.

I've always loved cycling. I've ridden a two-wheeler since I was 5 years old, and it has always been my escape from the BS of life, and the most fun possible.

Unfortunately, like I figured, we are now being punished for all the beautiful weather we had for so long. Garbage forecasted all week, got chased home by unexpected rain on yesterday's ride:(
