Hi, I want to enter the sport and I don't know almos anything about MB. I have read some info and Ive seen some bike but I dont know what to get. The thing is I don't want an expensive bike so im between 2 bikes now. One its the Jamis X3 2011 and the other is the FUJI NEVADA 2.0 2011.....What would you recomend???
Thanks for your opinion!11

between the two, i'd get a trek or a specialized. but if those are the choices, i'd get the jamis.

They are extremely similar, entry level bikes. Kind of heavy but you should be able to have fun with them. So that leaves personal taste; which one looks better - for me, the Jamis is nice looking and a pretty cool color.
EDIT: I see three bikes in your poll - I like the X3

Two Jamis choices? Something smells . . . this thread was probably started by chelboed's sock puppet.

Before comitting to those, check out Jenson usa, or C/L- you can pick up a 1-2 year old new one, or a sweet older used one that runs circles around those choices. Not that any of the 3 are particularly bad, but you can get more bang for your bike buying a solid used bike, then upgrade if your love for mtn biking takes off.

My sock puppet is in the laundry.
I'm not impressed with the Trail-X series. Frame is interesting to some degree...but the build isn't. I'd follow the advice in another recent thread about spending your money on a used bike. You can buy a real jewel for 4-5 bills.
Otherwise...I'd say go with the Durango.
