So I recently purchased fenders and a rack for my bike, along with the Boxy Rando (http://www.acornbags.com/boxybag.html) from Acorn. Previously I had my lights mounted on my bars, but with the bag there, the lights are sort of blocked. The rack (http://store.velo-orange.com/index.php/accessories/racks-decaleurs/racks/vo-randonneur-front-rack-stainless-steel.html) has light mounts, but I'm not sure how to mount my lights (http://www.ediscountbike.com/Magicshine-900-Lumens/Accessories/Lights/-p9281401.html) to them. Any one have any tips or solutions?

I'm guessing one of these would help.

I just bought one of those same VO racks but so far haven't bothered to relocate my lights because I have them mounted on Crono Knobs at about mid-fork height. See http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/light-mounts.asp#nob

At that point, I'd probably make my own. A small flat piece of metal to put under one of those screws, with a piece of pipe, conduit, dowel, etc. on the end to hold the light.

For those that can't tell, the MagicShine pretty much needs a roundy thing the size of a handlebar and about an inch long to clamp onto.

You'll need somethng that will screw into the threaded mounts, like this (http://www.paulcomp.com/ginolightmount.html) can also be used at the fender tabs (as shown) or low-rider (mid-fork)

Those things look really cool. Anyone know if they'll fit into the eyelets on the rack for mounting lights?

This gives you some idea as to how a light is to be mounted on the side holes on the rack. Two p-clamps are screwed into the holes to support a flash light.

Many front lights have a mounting hole like the light pictured above. You will need spacers or a bracket that will below and to the left so that the light clears both the rack and the bag.

Some front racks will have the mounting hole already offset so that brackets or spacers are not required.

If the threading is M5, which is standard for most braze-ons, it will fit. And since the screw is separate, you could replace the screw with whatever fits.

Yes but you'll probably need a nut and lock washer on the back side. The eyelets on the rack are most likely not threaded. I have one of the Paul mounts screwed into a lowrider mount at the fork leg's mid point to mount my headlight. Just about the best position I've found so far. It really is a clever little doodad. I would imagine you could make your own out of some pvc pipe and a drill, but I like my equipment a bit more refined.
