HELLO ALL,

I'M LOOKING FOR A HARD TO FIND TOOL TO DISASSEMBLE MY FREEHUB BODY. IT HAS A SHIMANO PART NUMBER OF "FH-40" AND IT LOOSENS THE INNER BEARING RACE (REVERSE THREADS). DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN PURCHASE ONE? LOCAL BIKE SHOPS HERE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. THANK YOU.......

I think you need a large allen wrench to remove the freehub body. And if you go in through the back it takes an even larger one.

Thanks for the reply. I know I need a 10mm allen wrench to remove the "tube nut" from the hub to release the freehub body but the FH-40 is to disassemble the body itself and get to the ratchet springs and pawls.

Wow...you want to get deep into that puppy.

The tool is available from Harris Cyclery. Here:
