Winter Cycling - PI Select Thermal Tights -- Fit?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is it just me, or do these fit particularly odd? I picked up a pair locally, and the fit wasn't 100% perfect in the dressing room. On the bike, though, it's pretty obvious that they're definitely a dual-purpose (running, cycling) garment. I can't get through my 12-mile commute without having them ride halfway down my backside.
I emailed PI about this, and they said they haven't received any complaints about on-the-bike fit despite selling 5000 pairs of said tights. I realize that I'm basically stuck with these things, but I would like to know if anyone else out there has found the fit to be lacking.

I have them and find the fit seems to be tight around the quads maybe since you have to wear shorts underneath? I have to pull them up a little from the bottom cause they feel like they are not long enough or too grabby around the quads. Thats a large size and Im 145 pounds and 5'10. I also have the amfib elites which are more loose and fit better. Guess they want u to spend more? As far as shorts I have always wondered why they are so popular. I have their selects and elites (which both are a good fit, except for the ELITEs being a tiny bit too long) and neither are close to my bontrager and descent shorts for comfort! The Bontragers seem to be the most comfortable shorts Ive ever owned ($90) but well worth it. You wouldn't think it by looking at the chamois cause it looks so "simple". But I guess everyone is made different also.
