Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Video of what I look like climbing

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

At the suggestion of Mr. Beanz, I'm posting this in its own thread for those who wondered what I look like while climbing. This was recorded by my good friend mrRhwalden (his YouTube name) last September in Lake Tahoe. I'm climbing and descending Spooner Summit and Kingsbury Grade. I'm wearing my usual baggy clothes to cover up my fat ass:D, and I probably weighed about 170 at the time.
Since his camera records in .mov format, I had to use the buggy Magix Movie Edit Pro software, which always seems to import one clip sans audio. Luckily that particular clip would have been nothing but wind noise, so no biggy. The others are all fine. Don't worry, there's no heavy breathing:lol:

"That was a......" -----------------I can't quite make that out but then again, my heaing aint all that.:D What was it you shouted?
I have to give you credit, that's a busy hwy, nice fast spin too!:thumb:
Again, IMO, your voice aint all that deep. From your previous self description postings of your deep voice, I was expecting "Lurch". Not even!
Now for a little conversation? You've heard my vids, I mumble, mutter and stutter and some people think it's good haha! If you can get the radio voice going, your vids will soar.:p

Thank you:)
I'm yelling "That was a duh george!" It's an inside joke between me and a few friends. It means something obvious or easy. In this case, easy. Spooner Summit had to be the easiest mountain climb I've ever done. It's supposed to be a 7 mile climb, but it was over so quick I wondered if I was even on the right road. Here's the Garmin data from that ride:

Cool, I was just about to have Gina make me an appointment with the ear specialist.:D
What I like about the video is that you are an average everyday gal, like Gina, out there doing it! I read lots of "I do" posts but you're out there doing it!:thumb:
After watching it again, just realized, just my style, a recording of someone recording.:D

Thank you:) I have a few more videos like this too, but they are between 4 and 6 minutes long. This one was definitely short and sweet!

What a great vid of you freightraining. I to amd impressed with your spin. Sorry but here come the questions; what bike is that, and is it a triple?
Lake Tahoe is breathtaking. There sure were a lot of traffic but you handled it so well. And your boice sounds just fine. From your pevious comments, I was expecting you to sound like Ted Williams.
You are out there "getting it done" for sure.

Thank you:) It's the same road bike I've been riding for the past few months. It's the one I took pictures of the other day for the other thread. 2011 Specialized Dolce Triple (women's version), with the mtb gearing I described earlier in the other thread. You can see the camera mounted on the bars as I approach my friend at the end of the video.

Speaking of suckering people into watching videos, check out this guy's jersey at the end of this race footage I shot earlier in the day before I did my ride video. I think you'll understand why I LOVE this jersey:D:thumb:

I wouldn't want to call myself a climber just yet:p That's gonna have to wait until I'm a Strong Climber:D:lol:
Until all the fat is gone, I'm "freight training" (breathing hard) up all hard climbs:lol:
