So I'm currently building up a Tri-Bike and after reading ww.slowtwitch.com s article on Tri-Bike fit I'm going to have to have my armrests about 12-13 cm below my seat in order to fit. I'm going to have my seat pushed up to(it's naturally a 77 degree bike) but I could lose a cm and add a degree.
Any way I'm just curious about the amount of people that actually ride as agressively as slowtwitch.com would suggest ie 12-13 cm difference?

Hell even tell me the height difference in your seat to bars.

Well I havn't measured it but a lot depends on your flexability and comfort. I went for a bike fit and we went faily aggresive and then backed off until I felt comfortable.

Same as TriBob, I went in for a bike fit. They measured all my joints, plugged them into a computer and set my bike up with a laser. Felt nice first try. We fit the bike at a 76 degree, I think. It is halfway between relaxed/road fit and TT. TT/aero is typically between 76 and 81 degrees. Here is a pic, you can get an idea. I have my stem set as low as it will go on this frame.

Nice Softride neuron! I have been thinking about one of these...
Do you like it/How many miles so far?

I've only got 300 miles on it so far. I really like it, but admittedly haven't ridden it as much as I should. To compare it to other bikes is hard. This is the first nice bike I've ever owned. But, since I had it set up exactly for me, it fits like no other. I really like the shock absorption. Our roads are chip sealed out here. And, it is very fast. I get a lot of comments on the race course... It is a sexy bike.

Don't want to hijack Triguy's thread... If you have any specific questions PM me, I'd be happy to answer.

No I was admiring your bike myself, thanks for the great pic. I was looking at Softride's site for quite sometime the other day.

My Softride is a large. However I think I could have gotten away with a medium (like the article's author on slowtwitch). But, this one was used, for sale and priced right. The previous owner was a pro, Michael Tobin, and had only ridden it once. I guess he had three other Softrides.

Getting a medium would have allowed me to drop my stem lower, but I feel quite comfortable as it is set. The aero extensions are on the top of the wing. I tried them on the bottom, but it wasn't as comfortable.
