Last week I took delivery on a Rivendell Hunqapillar frame. A lot of information about it was placed on my blog during the past few months:

but now that I have built it up, I wanted to say that this makes a great all around bike for bigger people. It is made from very substantial tubing, rides like you're rolling on velvet and is considerably more nimble and responsive than the Surly LHT.
I'm looking forward to putting knobbys on it and taking it off road this spring but I am really pleased with it overall. I know that Rivendell frames are not everybody's cup of java, but it really exceeds my expectations.

Very nice! Since I've gotten back into cycling, a Rivendell has always been my "Someday..." bike...

You seem to like the ride, unladen...would be interested in knowing how it handles fully loaded (I'm told that's what separates the LHT from other touring bikes).

I just got it built up out for a test ride. It has braze ons for any type of luggage you can hang on a bike, that's what it was built for and what I intend to do with it. But of course, it is February and this is Michigan.

I have no idea how that bike rides, but man, it's beautiful.
