Classic & Vintage - Help identifying paint color, age of mid 80's Schwinn Traveler

Hello all!
Hopefully this is my first post of many here...
Did some more digging around. It's a 1987 and the color is called Winter Mint, which leads me to my next and hopefully final question. Where can I get some winter mint paint??

I've been working on a Schwinn traveler that was passed down to me by my dad (a former bike mechanic). He said he thinks he bought it new in '85. I'd like to touch up some of the chips in the paint but I don't know what the paint code/name is, let alone a for-sure age. I looked through some Schwinn catalogs from the late 80's and the decals match those on an '86-89 or '90 but none of the colors listed match my bike. Any info I could get on this bike would be appreciated. Oh, and shifters weren't stem mounted and the wheels are 27" if that helps date it.

You will not likely find it. At all. Anywhere.

But, a paint shop may be able to duplicate it for you. Though this usually costs big $$$.

Ok. That's what I feared. This is just my commuter/fun fixie so I'll probably just keep my eye open for a spray paint that matches decently to fill in the chips.

You will likely have to bring them the bike for them to computer match it. Though, don't expect perfection.

Cool color, and great bike. It will more than adequately fulfill your intended use and last many miles. Go shopping on the Walmart fingernail polish aisle. Seriously, there may be a close match. Women where some crazy colors on their nails sometimes.

Love that color! Had one of these go through my hands awhile back, too big for me. Sold it. Right now I'm on a properly sized 87 Fuji Tivoli in similar color.

I thought about that too, but I know finger nail polish wears off fingers in a week or so. I don't know how much better it would fare on a bike

Go to your local drug store and check out nail polish. The cap color is what the dry color will be.

Hmm, I wonder how much nail polish I would need to touch up mine :eek:
