BMX - i don't know what kind of bike to buy?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking for a bike that i can do a little of both, street and dirt on, but could also go on a regular bike ride, most of the bmx bikes i see besides the cheap ones have seats a couple of inches away from the pedals, i'm looking to spend around 300 dollars.
i also haven't been on a bmx bike since i was 14, so i'm also looking for something that as a beginner would be easy to handle, i like the looks of the liquid frames, but have no idea how to build a bike with just a frame, any suggestions?
The frame alone is $ 309:
Good looking frame to build one though. Craig's List used (and that could very well be rarely used/almost brand new) can probably get you into something comparable.

Liquid is only making frames for 24" cruisers....
Wonder if they'll ever make a 26er or 29er bmx ? Some 29ers look like they borrow as much of the frame geometry in smaller diameter tubing.

Danscomp (http://www.danscomp.com). If you want to get into 20", check them out.

You can adjust the seat height if you want. Anyway, check out stolen bike co.

get a bike and put a long seatpost in it. push the seat down low when you want it out of the way for street/ramps, then raise it up when you want to sit and pedal for longer distances.
