Hey guys, just wondering if anyone's ever heard of Iris saddles? I'm looking for a leather seat for a steel racer and I'm trying -- just for the hell of it, not because I have anything against them -- to find something that's not a Brooks. I came across these, but there's nothing about them online, apart from this stockist. Seem pretty cheap for what they claim to be. Does it look like a Velo Orange to anyone?

Yup. I'd bet good money that it's just a relabeled VO Mod 6 (which is a relabeled somethingelse). Not a lot of non-Brooks choices these days, unfortunately.

Really? So anyone any thoughts on VO/whateverthehellthisis? Are they any good? Seems like a big price gap between this (€49) and, say, a Brooks Swift (€120). The Brooks brand and hand-hammered rivets are all well and good, but not worth that difference.

I thought that VO actually made those saddles. So they just brand stuff? I ask this, because you rarely if ever see VO stuff in Europe. The shipping from their site is crazy.

I think a Chinese company makes it and sells it to VO which stamps it. There are a few on ebay that look exactly the same. Murphy is one of them.
I have the VO saddle one. Just did a century in it. Dang it feels good.
