I'm sure everyone can find something wrong/distasteful with this, but are those cranks not completely out of place? Wouldn't a C-Record crank be the appropriate match for the rest of the parts?

Those are the ICS modified Campagnolo parts. ICS did mods of both Super record and C-Record, including the C-Record crankset, so yes the crankset is out of place. Lots of missing components too.

ICS is proof that the Swiss do not always have taste. That and alinghi. Browinie points if you know what alinghi was and what happened just over a year ago.
And do not have to search the net to remember.
