Classic & Vintage - Gios Nuovo Compact - a BF C&V collaboration

I picked up a, I believe, 1991 Gios Nuovo Compact frame+fork (w/ headset, BB, seat post, stem, and front brake) for a criminally low price off of eBay last July. It was in my size and cheap so why not build it up for myself? RobbieTunes, in his amazing generosity, even sent me a bag of Ergo bits and once those were together I had a direction for the project. So I slowly pieced together the machine you see below. All of it was from trades, eBay, and a little Craigslist, and it would be rude for me to not a) post pictures and b) thank those members who've helped bring this thing together.

So it's a huge mish-mash of parts, but they all work together. I'm hoping to get the last few things to make it pretty, like matching tires and maybe some allen-head crank bolts, on there soon. Then take it out and put lots of miles on it.

Thanks to everyone (especially RobbieTunes) for helping bring this bike together. The info on this model seems to be scarce on the internet but if you've got something you'd like to share I'm all ears.

It's cool to see a non-blue Gios. And it's cool to see a menacing black italian stallion. Happy riding, it looks like it's a lot of fun!

A matching set is on the way. I used what I had lying around, which included a celeste-colored tire that'll work just fine for now.

I do wish the rims were silver instead of black but I can fix that in the future.

That's a cool bike! Personally, I like the black rims. If it were mine I think I'd black that thing out! Get a black seatpost and replace the chainrings with something like these:
